Under the management of Darfur Area Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the finance and human resources management are consistent with HI’s policies and standards and with local regulations. You advise managers in your geographical area on all the HR and processes they roll out and you are responsible for the financial steering and operational financial management and also maintaining the social environment in the area. You will also support the local implementing partner in the financial and human resources aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the mission’s accountancy and cash flow management
  • Carrying out management of budget and donor funding contracts
  • Ensuring the implementation of the mission’s HR processes (recruitment, remuneration, social and healthcare coverage, evaluation, training) and compliance with local legal framework
  • Guaranteeing international and national personnel administration at Darfur area level
  • Line management of the Finance HR Officer
  • In collaboration with Sudan Program HR-Finance Manager, HQ HR Specialist and Emergency Unit, organizing and coordinating the recruitment of the program team
  • Supporting the team in the scaling up of the program in Darfur
  • Emergency preparedness and response

Requirements:

  • You have proven experience of at least 5 years in a coordination position, in Finance and HR
  • You have experience in team management and in capacity building
  • You have a strong knowledge of planning, purchasing, procurement, recruitment, budgeting and donor reporting
  • You have full professional English proficiency. French or Arabic are an asset.
  • You are able to work under high pressure
