Position description
Responsibilities
- Research water utility industry and regulatory conditions across the country to inform Elevate positions, comments, and program expansion
- Research water utility capacity gaps in Illinois, and technical assistance models available to meet those needs
- Evaluate Elevate’s current water affordability and water technical assistance programs using qualitative and quantitative methods to demonstrate impact and inform future activities
- Assist policy and water team in developing a statewide water affordability strategy, building off existing affordability pilots and technical assistance
- Track state and federal legislation pertaining to areas of research
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Persistence and creativity in finding information, often with little guidance, and proactively communicating with team members to share information or ask questions
- Strong research skills
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with water issues
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
